FLAME RETARDANT POLYESTER
As a new product we have Polyester flame retardant yarn in our product portfolio. These yarns are being supplied to us by RUTEX.
Due to the incorporation of different acid in the polymer structure of the Polyester a permanent low flammability of the fabric and non woven is achieved.
This low flammability remains even after dyeing, finishing, washing or drying. The fibre convinces due to its excellent flammability characteristics. Through its very good self extinguishing quality the diffusion of the flame is prevented. Additionally no toxic gasses are released, which might harm the human body or the environment. This is officially documented by the receipt of the European eco-tex standard 100. Several international certificates further documented the very good flame retardant characteristics of the fibre, e.g.

England : BS 5867 : part 2: 1980
Germany : DIN EN ISO 6941 v. 04/1995
America : NFPA 701/1989
Additionally the “limited oxygen index” (LOI) states the quality of the fibre as it achieves a value of 31 (in comparison: standard Polyester = 23).
Our Polyester flame retardant can be applied in numerous areas. Possible applications are for example decoration fabrics like curtains, upholstery, carpets, seat-covers as well as automotive interior and in industrial applications like filter fabrics and non woven articles.
These are only a few of many application possibilities. Our yarn can be easily used in other areas as well.
